About the Artist

Ayelet Braun Zur, an Artist and a Painter.

A graduate of art studies, educational management and electronics.

A member of the Israel Painters & Sculptors Association, as well as the International Painters Union (a variety of art disciplines).

"As far as I can recall, I've always kept myself busy with arts and crafts.

During my childhood, when there was only one TV channel in Israel, I was fortunate to be a member of the "Batya Uziel" TV show, a famous show about arts and crafts.

As a participant in the show, I won the first prize in a New Year's Greeting cards design contest".

"Aquarelle", an individual exhibition portraying my collection, was recently presented In the County of Misgav, Israel.

About the exhibition: "Drawing, painting, and handcrafting was always an important part of my life and identity.

Aquarelle paintings were introduced to me by my teachers and close friends: the painters Ida Kirshner and Yitzhak Shalhevet

Ida Kirshner also introduced to me the exciting world of silk and decorative painting; This is currently a major field of interest for me.

My most recent exhibition includes several Aquarelle paintings, taken from my painting collections of the past few years.

For me, the Aquarelle concept presents an opportunity to explore ideas, senses and feelings in color.

I regard Aquarelle as having its own identity; As being a world of its own, whole and complete.

I am fascinated by the immediate connections of drawing, Aquarelle, water, flow, color placement on the paper, transparency, shading and light.

One big advantage of painting in Aquarelle is its availability: the color palette, paint brushes and Aquarelle paper can easily be taken anywhere, at any time; You can express your ideas and recollections directly on paper.

To paint in Aquarelle one must know how to draw; drawing is one of the things I love most.

I always hope to involve the croud in my own Aquarelle experience; involvement through line, stain, and expressive color, as seen in my work."
